About

Climate Axis and Strategy Initiative (CASI) is the brainchild of Rep. Sam Onuigbo, who sponsored Nigeria’s Climate Change Act. It is a Nigerian Non-Governmental Organisation. CASI was formed to plug the gap in policy implementation in Africa by leveraging on political capital to drive climate change policy implementations in line with Africa’s peculiar needs and the vision of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Mission

In line with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the objectives of the UN Framework on Climate Change, the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, the Convention on Biological Diversity, and the Sustainable Development Goals, CASI is working on policy implementation that will usher in a prosperous Africa built on the foundation of improved climate actions and green industrialisation.
